Excursions

You can make very nice excursions from Can Banal to the surrounding areas. There are many unpaved tracks to enjoy the changing views and abundant flora and fauna by foot, on a mountain bike or on horseback. From the campsite there are several coloured marked tracks that are accompanied by a route description. They can vary from one hour to an entire day.

David Gimeno - our guide (tel: 650 748 234 - escaladuix.org), organises hiking excursions that have become very appreciated during the years. Excursions like; Sant Aniol d'Aguja, el Puigsacalm or the high mountains of the Pyrenees. His knowledge in flora and fauna, that he shares in English, Catalan and/or Spanish, makes these events a memory to keep. (high season or by order)

Furthermore, Can Banal is situated between two interesting and emblematic zones, Sant Aniol and Oix, for those having an interest in adventure sports such as climbing, canyoning or speleology.

Last but not least, the beautiful and famous GR1 (Grande Randonée - longdistance coast to coast footpath) crosses the property and, in the north of the campsite, the GR 11, a few km away. These two trails enjoy a great reputation and offer a constant variation in landscape and diversity of nature. As a suggestion, Can Banal can be used as a night base for anyone who follows these tracks.
